So the rather indelicate business of matchmaking begins. And Lachlan MacGregor, the dashing and newly impoverished Laird of Clan MacGregor, is deemed the worthy suitor. Kimberly, however, harbors a deep-seated dislike for Scots, gold-diggers, and the whole woeful state of affairs in general. Therefore, a tryst with the handsome, haughty Lachlan seems dubious at best. But strange turns and outrageous circumstances promise to lead the ill-matched pair to a wildly unexpected destination - and to open a resisting heart to the glories of true love.

This is a romance in the true sense of the genre. Lachlan MacGregor, the head of his clan and temporarily impoverished, travels to England to meet and marry an heiress. Michael Page's narration is wonderful. He makes all the characters come alive, manipulating emotions with his voice and the pace of the reading. Page creates almost every variation of Scottish and British accent while he helps Lindsey bring the lovers together. Love Me Forever will make you laugh and cry and want to listen until the very end, and yearn for more. Unfortunately, the narration and the tale end too soon, and the listener must go off in search of another story. M.B.K. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine
